California Travel & Tourism Commission’s 2009 Tourism Marketing Excellence Awards

 

Brice & Associates was honored for delivering Southern California’s most successful tourism-PR effort. The CTTC selected Brice & Associates’ work for La Casa del Zorro Desert Resort & Spa and the Anza-Borrego Foundation, along with the PR effort of the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco, as California’s top two PR efforts. Attendees at the 27th Annual California Conference on Tourism voted the Northern California Academy’s effort first place and Brice & Associates’ effort second for the entire state.

 

 

Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International Silver Bell Award

 

Brice & Associates captured a Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International Silver Bell award in the category of “City/County Convention/Tourist Bureau – Campaigns.”  Notably, Brice & Associates’ public relations campaign for the Borrego Springs Chamber of Commerce won over the New York City Convention & Visitors Bureau’s submission and placed second only to Rio de Janeiro Convention & Visitors Bureau.

 

 

Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International Bronze Bell Award

 

Brice & Associates earned a Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International Bronze Bell for its work on behalf of La Casa del Zorro Desert Resort, which tied the Four Seasons Resort Nevis in New York in the consumer-marketing program category for individual properties of 300 rooms or less.

 

 

Public Relations Society of America Edward L. Bernays Mark of Excellence Award

 

Brice & Associates was honored by the San Diego chapter of the Public Relations Society of America at its annual Edward L. Bernays Mark of Excellence Awards. In collaboration with KPBS’ in-house PR staff, Brice & Associates earned the Award of Excellence, the top award in the public service category, for work on behalf of “Culture of Hate,” a KPBS-TV documentary on San Diego County’s white power youth. The debut broadcast was the highest rated show on KPBS in February 2002 and represented a 338 percent increase over the average audience figures.



Public Relations Club of San Diego Mark of Excellence Award

 

Brice & Associates earned the highest accolade of the Public Relations Club of San Diego, the Mark of Excellence Award, for continuing public relations on behalf of Rubio’s Restaurants, Inc.
